Flat Top 5 Bar Gate

These gates are constructed with main stiles 2 3/4 x 5 inches. The top rails are often constructed from Engineered timber. This ensures the gate remains straight, which can very often be a problem with very wide gates.

These gates are all bolted into place and the joits sealed to help stop water entering into the joints. If you require them to be automated we can also modify one of the rails to give it added strength.

Prices start from as little as £300 for 5ft x 3ft Gate, these are fully hand made in the UK by our local craftsmen. We can supply and install these gates or just supply only

How To Measure your gate

Please note that to obtain the right calculation; it is the height you require at the hinge side that must be used. (Note: all gates have “horns” which rise 2” above the top rail of the gate”) And with certain styles of gate i.e. Swan Neck or Gunstock Double gates, they rise/fall by 12”/6” respectively. The width required is the gap you want to fill. If you are ordering battens or posts, we will deduct this off the measurement you provide. When ordering, we will unless requested otherwise reduce the width of any gate by 1” and height by 1” to enable the gate to be fitted properly. It is important that these gaps are present to allow the gate to swell during humid weather. If you have more specific requirements, for example, you require a gate to be an “Actual” Size (where we will not deduct for expansion/clearances) or a bespoke gate.
